The Short Version
Historical evidence identifies Ottoman Bosnia as an incorporated province, not a colony. After conquest, it was organized first as a sanjak and later as the Bosnia Eyalet within the Ottoman administrative system. Although modern scholars may analyze Ottoman rule through a colonial lens, that interpretive usage does not establish that Bosnia formally or conventionally held colonial status.
