Research does show that beard length or fullness is associated with how other people perceive men’s traits, especially dominance, aggressiveness, masculinity, age, and status. But evidence that beard length reliably reflects the wearer’s actual personality is weak and inconsistent. The claim is therefore only partly supported unless it is limited to perceived personality traits rather than real underlying traits.
Caveats
Most supporting studies measure observer impressions, not the beard wearer’s actual personality traits.
The wording is too broad: an association with perceived dominance or masculinity does not mean beard length reveals underlying character.
